Demo Site Update - Canowindra, NSW

3rd of February

Hand harvested the magnesium sulphate (epsom salt) demo and had some interesting results! 8% less water rot/soft rot where MgSO4 was applied (200 kg/ha X 2). 7% increase in yield. Inconsistent result with SG. Soil tests & petioles both indicated "sufficient". Only a demo, only one year, but highlights the need for more work.

9th February 2022

Serenade - Azoxystrobin trial as of 9th of February, 51 days after planting. Note that this is one farm with one set of conditions, Not research!

14th February 2022

Potato Link team adding a weekly early blight spray to the grower's standard practice. We'll see if the vines hold up better as they mature, and if there is any yield increase. Starting to see more early blight now....lot of inoculum around, shorter days, thunderstorms & showers, etc.
