Join the PotatoLink team for an event focused on potato crop nutrition for improved yield, quality and input efficiencies. Topics and speakers include:

  • Stuart Grigg, PotatoLink Vic regional representative - Introducing the fundamentals of effective nutrition, and results from the recent demonstration site held in Dean, Vic.

  • Phil Hoult, Icitec Pivot Fertilisers - Implementing the fundamentals on-farm and exploring the role and timing of key macro and micronutrients for improved crop health

  • Darren Hicks, AgVita Analytical - The use of soil and plant testing for improved crop management decisions. Why use them and when?

  • Panel session, with Phil Hoult, Darren Hicks, local agronomist and local grower - Tying it all together, discussing on farm application of the principles explored, strategies for best results, challenges, learnings and new technologies.

Speaker BIo’s

Stuart Grigg

Stuart is an agronomist passionate about precision agriculture, crop nutrition, sustainability and soil health. Stuart provides agronomic support to major vegetable production businesses, and understands both the theory and commercial reality. 

Originally specialised in lettuce, brassicas and babyleaf, he has more recently extended into apiaceae (carrots and parsnips) and potato crops.

Phil Hoult

Phil is the Senior manager in farming services for Incitec Pivot Fertilisers. He has a career spanning over 35 years in Horticulture, potatoes, sugar and broadacre crops across Australia. He is currently leading initiatives on enhanced efficiency fertilisers.


Darren Hicks

Darren Hicks is the technical manager at AgVita Analytical, and provides support for any specific technical needs, including understanding results, reports and sampling protocols.

AgVita are a laboratory based in Tasmania who provide testing and analytical services nationally to the agricultural industry, natural resource management bodies and research organisations.
