Stephanie Tabone

Stephanie graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with honours, majoring in horticulture and agronomy.

Stephanie has since gained experience in post-harvest vegetable production managing produce quality, production efficiencies and food safety. She has also managed stewardship and a sales territory for a crop protection and seed supplier.

Stephanie was nominated for the Young Grower of the Year award and the Women in Horticulture award in 2019 and is participating in the Cultivate - Growing Young Leaders program with Action For Agriculture. She is passionate towards helping the agriculture industry find and implement solutions to the challenges faced through crop production and the supply chain.

In 2023 Stephanie was awarded a Nuffiled Australia scholarship to investigate the use of legumes as an alternative nitrogen source for vegetable cropping systems, exploring the factors that drive nitrogen release and the practical strategies that can be used to sync the release with the nitrogen needs of a succeeding vegetable crop.
