Get involved in the new Potato Mechanisation project
Which new tech should we trial first?
This levy-funded project, led by Applied Horticultural Research, will put new technology to work on six to 10 commercial farms across Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria, and test whether it saves labour and pays its way.
The list currently includes driverless tractors, precision planting, cameraguided spraying, harvesting and separation gear, and optical grading and packhouse automation, but if we've missed something we'd like to hear about it.
Your answers help decide what gets trialled, and we'll ask again as the trials run to see what's changed.
