About the Demonstration Event

Join PotatoLink for a night-time spray demonstration in the Ballarat region.
Once the sun goes down, we'll use UV lights to compare the coverage of drone and ground applications in field. This will show us exactly where the spray lands and how uniform the coverage is.

This workshop is tailored for potato growers and agronomists looking to better understand spraying technology and make the most of their spray programs by seeing it in action.

Demonstration will commence at 6:30pm, followed by presentations and a BBQ dinner.

Meet the Presenters

Stuart Grigg

Stuart is an agronomist passionate about precision agriculture, crop nutrition, sustainability and soil health. Stuart provides agronomic support to major vegetable production businesses, and understands both the theory and commercial reality.

Originally specialised in lettuce, brassicas and babyleaf, he has more recently extended into apiaceae (carrots and parsnips) and potato crops.

Len Ibbotson (Sygenta)

As Sygenta’s current Technical Services Lead, Len oversees horticultural practices in south-east Australia. In this role, he works to support the introduction and integration of Sygenta’s plant protection products into stakeholder’s current IPM systems.

He also carries a wide range of past experience under his belt, previously working in a variety of roles across the fields of applied science, extension and farm management.

Adrian White (RotaVision)

RotaVision was founded by Adrian White, a fourth-generation farmer from the Clare Valley in South Australia. After a two-decade career in logistics and supply chain, Adrian decided he wanted to return to open skies, practical work and meaningful impact in the agriculture industry.  In 2021, he became a CASA certified drone pilot, recognising the huge potential of aerial technology to solve real problems for growers. RotaVision was created to bring that potential to life.

Today, RotaVision uses advanced drone spraying, mapping and crop-monitoring technology to deliver precise weed control, reduced chemical use and greater on-farm efficiency. By combining agricultural heritage with modern aerial intelligence, RotaVision helps farmers save time, cut costs and grow more with less.
