Certified seed potatoes underpin the potato industry. In 2017 a comprehensive review of existing documents, industry consultation and feedback was used to review and update the Australian National Standard. The revised standard included:
Comprehensive definition of terms
A new structure to provide easier comprehension
Up to date scientific knowledge; and
common terminology with the UNECE standard.
