Report published by Hort Innovation. This is a final research report from Hort Innovation’s historical archives. The content and recommendations within them may be superseded by more recent research.

Potato spindle Tuber viroid is a serious threat to the potato industry. This 2013 report found that multiple hosts exist for the disease, including non-solanaceous species. The report also suggests that there is an additional pospiviroid in Australia. Detailed information about pathogen spread and survivability on different materials is explained. A diagnostics protocol was developed for the disease.
